I don't know. I only remember bits and pieces of when it happens. [A pause as he thinks of what Sokka said, of what Max said before they left.] Something...something about a lever?
Nah, nothing physical goes with you when you dream. Dreams are all mental.
[Hmm. He pokes at his forehead to get some better focus here.]
Since they're mental, maybe you can make sure the lever is the thing you think most about before you sleep? Dreams sometimes work like that; when something's on your mind a lot, you might dream about it. There's still not a lot of science that's gone into it, and a lot of it's just guesswork and theory, but you could give that a try.
Think about the lever before I dream... well, even if it's guesswork, it's not like I have anything else to go on- so I'll give it a try. Hopefully it'll work.
A little later then, after she's calmed down? She does owe you an explanation, I think.
[He sounds gentle about it, not accusatory towards her at all. She's upset, yeah, he definitely understands that... but it is true that Allen needs to know what's up.
But. There's a bit of a pause as he feels his cheeks heat up, and - man, he wishes he was face to face for this. But at the same time - ]
[And hearing it back just makes him grin just about uncontrollably, though he... really hopes the crying he hears is out of happiness and not, you know, sadness or something. He'll roll with it! And in the meantime, roll in the very, very happy feeling in his chest.]
I don't know, it just - it felt right?
[He settles down a bit, back leaning up against the wall.]
Right before we agreed to start dating, you asked if I was sure I wanted to be with you for whatever happens, and one of the things you talked about was the possession.
Well... I'm still here, and I love you. Whatever happens, okay?
[There's another sniff on his end, and he wipes his eyes with his sleeve. He'd been hoping for the chance to do something more romantic when he confessed his feelings than this, but- well, he couldn't deny it was something he needed to hear right now. Having the Noah flare up again after so long, having the problems with the dreams, sitting here still with gray skin- well, it was all too easy to see why anyone wouldn't love him. So to hear the exact opposite...]
I don't know what I did to deserve you.
[He clears his throat, slowly getting that crying under control, but he can feel himself smiling. He wishes he was with Clay in person, but...well, he's more thankful Clay's being safe and not rushing to his side. A loved one rushing to his side and insisting they could handle things was sort of what got him in this current predicament.]
...Just give me a couple days, okay? The augment's helping keep him in check, and nothing he wants is here...so maybe once he realises that, he'll settle down again.
[Yeah, Clay had been hoping to say what he felt in a more romantic environment, with Allen there with him in person than over what's essentially a phone, but... he did sound like he needed it, and this was one of the things Allen was so afraid of, or at least it seemed that way. It just... seemed like the right moment. "Like" wasn't enough anymore.]
Talk to me whenever you need to, okay? I'll put together a whole list of movies we need to watch in the meantime.
Soooo, do you need to concentrate on keeping that guy from being a jerk? Or do you want me to tell you about the story of Star Wars?
You know, the build-up to it was actually really good! I feel like if they just kept that part out, it would've been great. You know, his force power making everything around him bend and break, him falling to his knees... without the scream? That would've been the best.
To introduce the whole Clone Wars concept, of course! And to show off the extremely epic romance between Anakin and Padmé. Are you not convinced that it's the best love story ever?

[He pinches the bridge of his nose]

I don't remember seeing a lever though.

[Allen going into dreams don't work that way....]

Also, hey... Allen?
Voice;
[Which...you know, he kinda has mixed feelings about her up and leaving like that. But hey, not much he can do about it now]
Yeah, Clay?

I love you.
You're going to be okay.
[It feels right, anyway.]
Voice; 1/??
[He trails off. Wait. What did Clay just say?]
Voice; 2/??
Voice; 3/3
- Shit, Clay.
[Wait no wrong, he takes a moment to try to get the waterworks under control, sniffing]
No, I mean. I love you too, but-
[He gives a little laugh through the crying] You choose to say this now??
Voice;
I don't know, it just - it felt right?

[It'd give him something to look forward to. But that last part gets him what sounds like a small chuckle.]
I'd actually rather not think about him. But I've actually already seen Star Wars- unless your retelling's different.

Voice;
I read the others weren't very good....

Voice;
[He gives a soft laugh]
...Alright, fine. Tell me the story of Star Wars.
Voice;
AND THEN CLAY DID SO BECAUSE KUKKI IS NOT ABOUT TO MAKE A SIX PAGE COMMENT ON A CANON SHE BARELY KNOWS ABOUT]
Voice;
[But Allen totally listened. It was a nice distraction, hearing that long story told to him by his boyfriend. By the end, he's very much engaged.]
- Wait. He really went "NooooOooooooOooooo"? Just like that?
Voice;
nnnnNNNNNOOOOooooooOOOoooooooOOOOooooooo!!
Voice;
But that's such a mood killer! I know he's really upset, but surely they could've done a less cheesy way to show that!
And what was the point of the second movie?!
Voice;
To introduce the whole Clone Wars concept, of course! And to show off the extremely epic romance between Anakin and Padmé. Are you not convinced that it's the best love story ever?
