[He opens the door, gestures to the room, then starts to descend down the ladder.
It's already pretty obvious that the room's a bit of a mess. There seem to be papers everywhere; the ones on the wall are mostly drawings and sketches he made of planets, constellations, and people he's met, both on the fleet and back at home. The floor's home to most of the star charts he's collected and made as well as equations he's worked out, and also to Apollo the fish, off to a corner of the room. It's not so big right now, after all, and getting a stand for him would give Clay waaay less space to walk around in. There also seems to be a pool cue in another corner of the room.
On the bed is the galaxy comforter that Stefan gave to him for his birthday, and in the middle of it, a small book that, upon closer inspection, is a cheap Korean-English dictionary. The navy blue slippers he got are on the floor, too... on top of one of the papers, even.
When Clay gets to the third rung of the ladder, he lets out a "hup!", lets go, then catches himself on the last rung. Seems like he's been doing that for a while now.]
Haha, uh... onward to the stars? [He'll just. Slowly try nudging a few of the papers on the floor under the bed with his foot as Allen comes down.] Again, sorry for the mess.
[Okay so it was a little strange that Clay checked to make sure no one was around before they went in. What, was the location of his room a secret or something? It's not like the ships are that big...]
[But he'll climb in after him, waiting to make sure the way is clear before moving his legs to the side so he slides down the ladder- jumping off when he's about half a foot off the ground, landing gracefully. He then looks around....which man, the clutter reminds him a little of Komui's office. Or how his room in Paradisa would get whenever him and his friends were in the midst of researching a new monster threat. You know, just with stars instead of demons]
[He ends up smiling]
It's fine, I like it. [Finally when he finishes looking around the room, he'll nod and look back at Clay] I think it suits you.
[When you live with crew members who are neat freaks and will gladly destroy his zen to see his room nice and tidy... You gotta take some extra precautions, man.
Still, that gets him to stop his nudging of papers for a moment, a bit surprised by that. Again, living with crewmates who are neat freaks - or think it's adorable. Then he gives a grin, feels his face flush, and runs a hand through his hair.]
Really? I always got the opposite back home. People think since I work so hard, I must be a neat freak too.
[That gets him to laugh, mostly about the hair, but - wow, Allen got it right on the money there. It feels like his mind's always jumping to other things, and his room probably reflects that.]
Yeah, yeah... I should probably get a haircut when we get to another planet. [It's getting a bit longer, therefore a bit shaggier/poofier, and we don't want a Taichi running around.]
You're right, though. [He'll go ahead and sit on the bed, seeing how there isn't much place else to sit.] A lot of the time, I just don't think about cleaning up until I'm too tired to do it. [He shrugs a bit] Besides, I already know where everything is, and organizing everything just makes me lose it all.
Ha- I'll admit I hope you won't cut it too short. I like that it looks messy.
[It makes him feel like he can run his fingers through it without worrying about messing up a hairdo. Though yeah, probably should cut it before birds start nesting in it]
Then that's fine. [He smiles and moves to sit on the bed next to him] I promise not to organise anything while I'm here.
Would you still love me even if I cut it too short?
[Which... he wouldn't, since he likes his hair to be at a certain length and no shorter as well. Now that Allen's sitting by him, he'll lean over to rest his head on his shoulder, letting out a quiet groan as he does so.]
Thank you. I've got a couple of crewmates here who'd love to do that if I gave them the chance. [Hence him looking around before opening the door, yep]
[Clay laughs quietly at that, a light bit of red on his face, and ducks his head for a second to pull off his visor and set it aside. This way it won't get in the way of hair brushing or kissing or whatever. And with it off, Clay runs a hand through his own hair, letting it floof out of its hat-placement a bit.]
Yup. Last time I didn't, I came back, and all my stuff was neatly in place and all cleaned up. Took me forever to get it back to this.
Probably Pearl. She's the one who likes to keep things neat and tidy. Koushiro would just look at me like... [He looks at Allen with a face that is so full of judging.] That. But probably not do anything about it.
[Now he remembers; he saw that comment and thought about apologizing for his crewmate, but figured she was a grown space rock and could handle it on her own.]
Yeah, she, uh... comes from a pretty different version of Earth than ours.

[He takes his bag off his shoulder and drops it onto the bed]
I mean, I don't see any dirty dishes or gross things, so it's not a pig sty. It's just clutter, because you're busy and got your mind on other things.
[And a little teasingly] Besides, if you were a neat freak, your hair would've driven you mad by now.

I'd love you even if you shaved it off or dyed it green. [Though that doesn't mean he couldn't whine about it]
Really? That's annoying- do you have to lock up when you leave the ship?
Action; 11/27
Yup. Last time I didn't, I came back, and all my stuff was neatly in place and all cleaned up. Took me forever to get it back to this.

That's incredible. Who came in here and did that?

It's alright. It was just a misunderstanding.
Action; 11/27
Well. For the record, I'd totally vote against throwing you in lava.
Action; 11/27
Why thank you, Cowboy.
Just don't get thrown in too yourself. She might do it if it means your room stays clean forever.
Action; 11/27
No. I'll haunt this room and never let it stay clean!
